Big Band Itinerary

This itinerary includes 1,000 miles of cruising along the Columbia Snake and Willamette Rivers - from Astoria near the Pacific Ocean, through the Columbia River Gorge and all the way to Idaho at the confluence of the Snake and Clearwater Rivers. We’ve planned this cruise so that many places you pass by at night are viewed in daytime during your return down the river. You'll pass through eight locks and dams, view the dramatic cliffs and waterfalls of the Columbia River Gorge, visit historic forts, and learn how the Native Americans, early missionaries and Oregon Trail pioneers lived during the early days of Northwest exploration.

DAY 1: Depart Portland, cruise along the Columbia and Willamette Rivers. Welcome Aboard Cocktail Reception and Dinner Party with the Captain.

DAY 2: Cruise through the Columbia River Gorge and transit Bonneville Lock and Dam. Port call in Stevenson. Tour Multnomah Falls and Bonneville Dam.

DAY 3: Bow land at Umatilla Landing. Motorcoach to Walla Walla for included tours to Fort Walla Walla Museum, Whitman Mission and a local winery. Evening cruising on the Snake River.

DAY 4: Dock in Lewiston/Clarkston area and board a jet boat for an excursion into Hells Canyon. Afternoon cruising along Snake River, transiting four locks. Nez Perce Interpretive Program.

DAY 5: Leisurely day of cruising, passing through Wallula Gap and transiting four locks. Enjoy complimentary wine tasting and other shipboard activities.

DAY 6: Cruise through Volcano Alley on the Columbia River. Port call and motorcoach into the foothills of the Cascade Mountains to visit Mt. St. Helens Volcanic Monument.

DAY 7: Cruising along Columbia River. Port call in historic Astoria and tour the Columbia River Maritime Museum, Astoria Column and Fort Clatsop. Captain's Gala Farewell Dinner and entertainment.

DAY 8: Disembark in Portland. Airport transfers included.
